Biography
Cesar “Chaka” Navarro is a Mexican professional heavyweight boxer from Agua Prieta, Sonora. He fights under the nickname “Cachalu.” Now training out of Phoenix, Arizona, Navarro has risen from his gritty border-town roots with a style and presence that reflect both discipline and danger.
Little is publicly reported about Navarro’s youth or amateur career. He turned professional exceptionally young, debuting in March 2017 at age 17, which suggests he had minimal public amateur experience. He won his very first bout on Mexican soil and quickly built an undefeated streak. In his first year, he racked up six straight wins, most by knockout, while fighting across Sonora and nearby cities.
After a long layoff with no recorded fights from 2018 to 2022, Navarro returned to the ring in 2023. He stepped onto larger stages and faced tougher opposition with mixed results. On June 24, 2023, he headlined an Iron Boy Promotions event in Phoenix against Adam Stewart. He lost that six-round bout by unanimous decision but quickly regrouped. In his next two outings, he earned a unanimous decision win over Siupeli Anau in August and scored a quick first-round TKO over Jalen Davis in October.
Outside the ring, Navarro maintains a low profile but often posts motivational messages and scripture online. He remains one of the most compelling Mexican heavyweights rising through the Southwest boxing circuit.
