Eye of the Tiger Management will close out 2025 with its annual boxing event at Casino du Lac-Leamy in Gatineau, Canada, on December 11. Local favorite Alexandre Gaumont headlines the show in a heavyweight bout against Switzerland’s Ramadan Hiseni, while Imam Khataev returns in the co-main event against an opponent to be announced.
This marks the fourth consecutive year EOTTM stages an event at the intimate Gatineau venue, and the fourth straight appearance there for Gaumont (13-0, 9 KOs). The 30-year-old prospect, fresh off stoppage wins over Andres Viera and Mathis Lourence, will compete in his first scheduled 10-round bout. “It’s a privilege to fight in front of my people,” Gaumont said. “This will be my biggest test, but with the crowd behind me, I’ll be stronger than ever.”
Hiseni (21-2-2, 8 KOs) returns to Canada after a hard-fought majority draw last year against Shamil Khataev, Imam’s younger brother. Determined to secure a clear victory this time, Hiseni said, “It’s always harder to win on the road, so this time I won’t leave any doubt. It’ll be veni, vidi, vici for me on December 11.”
In the co-main event, Russian light heavyweight Imam Khataev (10-1, 9 KOs) looks to rebound from a close split-decision loss to David Morrell in July. Despite the setback, promoter Camille Estephan praised Khataev’s performance, saying, “The whole world saw Imam that night. Alongside Alex Gaumont, this is the best of both worlds for our fans.”
The undercard will feature the long-awaited return of Canadian heavyweight Simon Kean (23-2, 22 KOs), who last fought in October 2023, and former women’s WBC heavyweight champion Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse, back for the first time since her knockout defeat to Claressa Shields.
