Middleweight up-and-comer Lazaro Lorenzana makes the maiden defense of his WBC Interim Silver title on July 19 in Chula Vista, California, where he faces Argentina’s battle-tested Brian Arregui.
Lorenzana (17-0, 12 KOs) stormed to the belt in March, flattening Hector Manuel Zepeda with a fourth-round knockout that preserved his perfect record and underscored his growing reputation as a finisher.
Arregui (11-5, 7 KOs) arrives intent on reigniting his career after a rough stretch. The 25-year-old hopes that an upset win over an unbeaten champion will provide the spark he needs for a fresh run in the division.
