The title consolidation bout between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois is set to headline a Pay-Per-View event under TNT Sports at Stadion Wroclaw in Wroclaw, Poland. This will be the first boxing PPV for TNT Sports, previously known as BT Sport.

This eagerly awaited bout marks the first significant heavyweight title fight of the year. Tyson Fury, the Lineal/WBC heavyweight champion, has been out of the ring since his third victory over Derek Chisora last December. Usyk was in attendance for that fight and met with Fury to stoke anticipation for an undisputed championship clash that ultimately did not happen.

Instead, the WBA ordered Usyk to engage in a title consolidation bout against London’s Dubois, the holder of the WBA ‘Regular’ heavyweight title. A significant purse bid was won by K2 Promotions, ensuring a considerable payday for both fighters. Usyk, as the WBA ‘Super’ titleholder, is due to earn $6,042,750, while Dubois and his team will enjoy a career-high payday of $2,014,250.

Usyk, a 2012 Olympic Gold medalist and former undisputed cruiserweight champion, will be defending the WBA, IBF, and WBO heavyweight titles he won in a September 2021 fight against Anthony Joshua. The victor of this bout will become the sole recognized WBA heavyweight titlist, aligning with the sanctioning body's ongoing campaign to reduce the number of titles. The fight is set to coincide with Ukraine Independence Day, which bears particular significance given the current Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Anticipated ring walks for the main event are expected to commence around 6 pm ET.

Also in the card, Ukraine’s esteemed WBO #3 Denys Berinchyk (17-0, 9 KOs) is gearing up to safeguard his WBO International lightweight title as he faces off against Sweden’s formidable Anthony Yigit (27-3-1, 10 KOs). Yigit, however, is looking to bounce back from a ninth-round stoppage by Keyshawn Davis earlier this year. On the other hand, Berinchyk showcased his prowess against Yvan Mendy on the Fury-Chisora 3 card and has his sights set on the coveted world lightweight championship.

Another major attraction of the event is the collision between two undefeated Middleweights: Britain’s Hamzah Sheeraz (17-0, 13 KOs) and Ukraine’s Dmytro Mytrofanov (13-0, 6 KOs). A win for Sheeraz not only heightens national pride but also paves the path for an anticipated battle against British champion Denzel Bentley later this year.

The undercard also boasts of other notable bouts, including Fiodor Czerkaszyn (22-0, 14 KOs) squaring off against Anauel Ngamissengue (12-0, 8 KOs), and Daniel Lapin (7-0, 1 KO) taking on Germany’s Aro Schwartz (20-6-1, 13 KOs). With such a stacked card, boxing fans are surely in for a treat.
