Terence Crawford’s longtime coach Bernie Davis says that unless the three-division champion is offered $100 million, fans have likely seen the last of “Bud” inside the ring.

Speaking with MillCity Boxing, Davis revealed that Crawford, 38, would only consider fighting again if he were guaranteed that payday to drop down to 160 lbs and chase undisputed middleweight glory.

“I think Crawford is done,” Davis said. “If it ain’t $100 million to go down and fight those guys [Janibek Alimkhanuly, Erislandy Lara, and Carlos Adames] and let them collect all the belts, then I don’t see Crawford fighting no more.”

Crawford became a three-division undisputed champion last month after outpointing Saul “Canelo” Alvarez in front of 70,000 fans at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. But according to Davis, the Nebraska star won’t return unless all three middleweight titles are unified first and the payday matches his accomplishments.

“100 million, no less,” Davis insisted. “Not 75, not 90 - 100. That’s the only way.”

Crawford’s recent victory over Canelo came after a year-long layoff and followed his previous win over Israil Madrimov in May 2024. However, with middleweight champions Carlos Adames (WBC), Janibek Alimkhanuly (IBF/WBO) and Erislandy Lara (WBA) yet to unify, a potential move for Crawford could take more than a year to materialize. That would mean another long period of inactivity.

“Crawford’s done everything there is to do,” Davis said. “If it’s not $100 million, there’s no point.”
