Eye of the Tiger Management’s second gala of the year, set for January 25th at the Casino de Montréal, is featuring a high-stakes main event where Erik Bazinyan (31-0, 22 KOs) will take on Billi Facundo Godoy (41-7, 20 KOs) for the NABF and WBA Continental super-middleweight titles. This match-up promises to be a thrilling encounter in the super-middleweight division.

In the co-main event, there’s been a change in the lineup. Albert Ramirez (17-0, 15 KOs), who was originally scheduled to face Charles Foster, will now face former Eye of the Tiger protégé Artur Ziyatdinov (15-1, 12 KOs), due to Foster’s injury. The alteration adds an emotional dimension to the bout, with Ziyatdinov being a local favorite and a familiar face to Quebec boxing fans. EOTTM President Camille Estephan expressed excitement about this new match-up, anticipating a compelling fight.

Ramirez, with a rise in rankings in 2023 and now holding spots within the top ten of multiple boxing organizations, faces additional pressure to perform impressively in front of the Quebec audience. The Venezuelan-born light heavyweight, known for his southpaw stance, will face a technically skilled boxer in Ziyatdinov, who brings an 80% KO ratio to Ramirez’s 88%.

Ziyatdinov, despite being less active recently, remains a formidable opponent. He secured his 15th career victory in his last fight in June and is aiming to make a significant statement in 2024. A victory against the undefeated Ramirez in Montreal, his hometown, would certainly boost his career prospects.

Daniel Otter, Managing Director of Three Lions Promotions, co-promoter of Ziyatdinov with Lou DiBella, has expressed gratitude for this opportunity and confidence in Ziyatdinov’s ability to upset the undefeated Ramirez. The stage is set for an exhilarating night of boxing at the Casino de Montréal, showcasing top talents and potentially career-defining moments for the fighters involved.
