Eddie Hearn says the grudge match between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn converted curiosity into cash: preliminary tallies put worldwide pay-per-view buys “well over a million,” with domestic UK purchases “very close” to the seven-figure mark on their own. Speaking to Ariel Helwani two days after the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium thriller, the Matchroom boss credited the dual-platform model - Sky Sports Box Office for traditional viewers and DAZN for streaming - for a haul that could rival Anthony Joshua’s 2017 clash with Wladimir Klitschko as the biggest U.K. non-heavyweight PPV of the decade.

Exact figures remain under audit, but industry estimates place Sky’s share at roughly 550-600k and DAZN’s U.K. app sales at 350-400k, with a further 150k from U.S. and European territories, pushing the global total past 1.1 million. That returns an event-day gross of more than £22 million before sponsorship and gate receipts, easily justifying the £375,000 fine imposed on Eubank for missing weight by 0.05 lb.

Inside the ring the pair delivered: Benn’s early bursts and Eubank’s late surge produced a 116-112 sweep on the cards and left both men bloodied, sending Eubank to hospital for precautionary scans and fuelling demand for the contractual rematch. Saudi adviser Turki Alalshikh has pencilled a September date back at Spurs, though Hearn concedes the timeline may slip while cuts heal and Sky-DAZN negotiations resume.

With one million homes already in the books and social clips topping 50 million views, the rematch could climb even higher.
