On Saturday night, live on DAZN, two different events took place, in one of which Joseph Diaz Jr. (32-4-1, 15 KOs) met against Mercito Gesta (34-3-3, 17 KOs) and in the other one Cyrus Pattinson (6-0, 4 KOs) fought against Chris Jenkins (23-7-3, 8 KOs) for the WBA International Title.
In the first event, a split decision victory was achieved by the 35-year-old fighter who executed a high-output attack against Joseph “JoJo” Diaz at The Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, California. The judges scored it 97-93 for Diaz, 99-91 and 98-92 for Gesta, while DAZN had it closer at 96-94 for Gesta.
Gesta and Diaz were elevated to the main event after the original headliner between Gilberto Ramirez and Gabe Rosado was canceled because of Ramirez's overweight on Friday. The Gesta-Diaz fight was competitive and exciting.

Additionally, in the co-main event, Light Oscar Durate (25-1-1, 20 KOs) knocked out southpaw Alex “Chi-Town Heat” Martin (18-5, 6 KOs) at 1:14 of the eighth round.
In the undercard, Eric Tudor (8-0, 6 KOs) defeated Damoni Cato-Cain (7-1-1, 6 KOs), Patricio “Cacahuate” Manuel (2-0, 0 KOs) won by technical decision over Hien Huynh (1-2, 0 KOs), Dalis Kaleiopu (4-0, 3 KOs) defeated Jonathan “Popeye” Perez (40-35, 32 KOs) and Jorge Chavez (5-0, 4 KOs) won by knockout over Bryan Perez (12-17-1, 11 KOs).
In the other one in Newcastle, Cyrus Pattinson won the fight by stopping Chris Jenkins in the ninth round.
The fight was full of action from the outset, with both boxers constantly exchanging punches and making strategic adjustments to wear down their opponent. Pattinson seized an opportunity in the seventh round and dominated until Jenkins’ corner ended the fight by throwing in the towel in round nine.
