Turki Alalshikh has torn up DAZN’s pay-per-view playbook, confirming that every Riyadh Season and Ring-branded show will stream at no extra cost—starting with the November 22 light-heavyweight headliner between David Benavidez and Anthony Yarde.

After meeting with DAZN CEO Shay Segev, the Saudi power broker announced on X: “No more pay-per-view. The PPV model has damaged boxing, and we will no longer support it. We are with the fight fans.” Any surcharge previously earmarked for Benavidez-Yarde has therefore been scrapped.

The move follows criticism of last month’s Edgar Berlanga-Hamzah Sheeraz card, which sat behind an additional paywall despite DAZN’s standard subscription fee. Alalshikh’s new stance ensures that future Riyadh Season events - promoted under The Ring banner - will be included in the platform’s regular price.

Two upcoming PPV shows remain unaffected because they fall outside Alalshikh’s remit: Moses Itauma vs. Dillian Whyte on August 16 will still cost $39.99 in the U.S. and £15.99 in the UK, and Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois this Saturday carries its own PPV tag under Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions.
