The long-discussed clash between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis now has its framework. At a press conference in New York, Most Valuable Promotions confirmed that the November 14 bout will be a 10-round exhibition at Miami’s Kaseya Center, contested at a maximum weight of 195 pounds with 12-ounce gloves.

Although labeled an exhibition, the event will feature three ringside judges, and a winner will be declared if the fight goes the distance. The gloves and catchweight stand out as unusual compromises, with Davis typically wearing 8-ounce gloves, while Paul has mostly fought in 10-ounce gloves during his cruiserweight run.

The move to Miami followed the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission’s objections, with chairman Rick Thompson warning that the weight disparity made the fight unsafe. Paul has fluctuated between 183 and 227 pounds in recent bouts, while Davis weighed 133.8 pounds in his most recent appearance, a draw with Lamont Roach Jr.

Paul is coming off a unanimous decision win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June while Davis has never competed above 140 pounds, making the November exhibition one of the most unusual and scrutinized events of the year.
