Despite the knockdown, Chukhadzhian remained in game, fighting back and showing impressive durability. Ennis, however, found himself under scrutiny for several low blows, with referee Harvey Dock issuing stern warnings. Chukhadzhian was later penalized for holding, adding to the drama in the later rounds. By the twelfth round, both fighters had their moments, but the final scores read 119-107, 117-109, and 116-110 for Ennis.
